DE atelier Architects has been working with the Bancoora SLSC committee since 2013. Initial work included a pre-feasibility project to establish master planning priorities in response to recent demographic changes / coastal population increases in the City of Greater Geelong and the Surf Coast Shire. The project involved significant community consultation including BSLSC, environmental groups, local residents and new users including residents from Armstrong Creek. Analysis of results, challenges and opportunities identified and recommendations provided to BSLSC.

Recently DE atelier Architects undertook initial design explorations to develop a project brief and preliminary designs for the renovation and extension of the clubrooms.  The proposed design incorporates natural materials and is designed to minimise the impact on the sensitive environment in which it is located.  DE atelier Architects are currently working with the club to refine the preliminary design, determine project budgets and staging and assist in the application of grants and ongoing consultation with the land managers.
