The client, Housing Choices Australia, is a national, not-for-profit housing association that creates safe, quality, affordable housing for people who are struggling to find a home.  The brief for this development was to upgrade the 8 unit development to create an accessible and socially cohesive environment where tenants are encouraged and the design provides opportunities for people to casually interact and communicate.

The central hub provides this environment with informal landscaping, BBQ facilities and a shared garden plot. The entries to the units focus onto the shared garden.  Four of the units have been renovated and extended to be fully accessible and the overall development received a significant face lift and a comprehensive interior fitout.
