EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE IN
Social & Accessible Housing
DE atelier Architects has extensive experience delivering social and high-needs housing projects. Our practice integrates the knowledge we have gained over the years in providing residential housing within the commercial development market, with a fundamental belief that all individuals deserve quality and comfortable residential accommodation.
DE atelier Architects bring a level of experience and expertise to the design of homes that support independent living and are the first architectural practice registered under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in the Barwon Region.
Your input around what is needed, and what is wanted in your home, is the starting point.
DE atelier Architects build upon their experience in residential design, and detailed knowledge of what works in providing wheelchair accessible areas internally and externally with your home. To assist with design decisions DE atelier are able to assist with detailed costing to help inform your choices.
Completed projects by De atelier Architects range from small to large - from wheelchair accessible bathrooms, to small extensions with improved access, to new homes providing for high level care needs for a person. Design elements may include level entry showers, home automation to allow independent control (doors, air conditioning, etc.), clever kitchen design for easy access, and external decks and landscaping solutions to replace the need for ramps.
